ICE Rail Discussion List: Covering the "coolest" railroad in the upper Midwest. Keep up with news and events on the Iowa, Chicago and Eastern by subscribing to a mailing list dedicated solely to the IC&E. The mailing list is maintained by Matthew Frahm and myself through Yahoo! IlliniRail Discussion List: Illinois is second only to Texas in the number of rail lines criss-crossing the state. In particular, the northern portion of the state is cluttered with railroads, each of gaining access to the "Rail Capital of the World", Chicago. Railroading in this portion of the state is vast and exciting with major railroads such as: BNSF, Canadian National, CSX, Norfolk Southern, and Union Pacific. Also several regionals and shortlines help make this area even more interesting such as: Belt Railway of Chicago, EJ&E, Iowa Interstate, Illinois RailNet, Indiana Harbor Belt, I&M RailLink, TP&W and Wisconsin Southern.
